Whale Cove - Lincoln City beach - McMinnville

Monday morning we headed north along the coast, with stops at Devils Punch Bowl and Whale Cove to see the surfers and the seals, and then to play in the sand and waves at Boiler Bay park.

 This was Whale Cove - no whales, but we did see some seals swimming and diving!

 

After leaving the beach, we started the (sad) drive home. We got stuck in some traffic on Hwy 18 and stopped for a pick-me-up in the town of McMinnville. That turned out to be a find - cute town in wine country, with some lovely looking restaurants as well as an ice cream parlor and a chocolate shop. The latter two earned our business and gave us enough energy to make it home.  :)
