Die Hard Advent calendar!! Watch Hans Gruber fall down the Nakatomi Plaza building! 

 

Liesl made this matcha bowl for Steve in her ceramics class. 

I bullied mom into letting me buy her a fuzzy new hoodie.

A record player! So retro.

 

The annual Christmas viewing of Die Hard, Steve's favorite Christmas movie.

For dessert, I made a chocolate Guinness cake and an apple pie, and we collectively decided to eat dessert in the middle of the afternoon. It was absolutely delightful.

A feast: beef tenderloin roast, mashed potatoes, rolls. chanterelle mushrooms, green beans, butternut squash, radicchio salad.

And last but not least, the story of Jasper's Christmas, with a purple dinosaur.

We made our annual Christmas fig bread on the 24th. Everyone got a hand in the action. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jasper has decided that Popo's foot is a good pillow. She's a sucker for his big brown eyes.

 

We read some Christmas books together before Santa arrived. 

mom and dad come to town!

Mom and Dad arrived on Friday to visit for Christmas. We've had a really nice time hanging out and eating together (until today, when dad came down with a cold). 

We started off by having conveyor belt sushi at Sushi Hana, Seb's favorite restaurant.

We introduced them to the mini-series Andor, and they fell hard. They watched the first 6 episodes of season 1 in a single (long!) setting.

On Sunday, the three women went to the Nutcracker Ballet by OBT, our annual viewing spectacular! 

 

On Monday, we visited the Japanese Garden, which was beautiful even in winter.

 

 

Post-garden hot chocolate and treats at Roste.  

 

Tuesday was Christmas shopping and lunch at Dough Zone.
