the Nutcracker

Liesl and I enjoyed a fancy lunch and then OBT's production of The Nutcracker, in company with five of her Girl Scout friends (and their moms, and assorted siblings). Lunch was delightful, and the ballet even more so. Liesl was as enthralled as ever to watch the dancing, especially the Sugar Plum Fairy, to shiver at the Rat King, to marvel at the costumes and the snow, and to remember that I had been in the Nutcracker as a child. It's our fifth year going and it's one of my favorite traditions.
