Liesl's team won the PCU Summer Classic tournament this weekend - they played on Friday night (winning 4-1), Saturday at 8 am (3-1) and 10:30 am (4-3). Liesl scored a goal in their Friday victory, which was extra sweet. On Sunday morning they played in the championship final against the Washington Timbers. The game was tied 3-3 after regulation play so it went to penalty kicks... and the LYS girls won! (Thanks to 3 saves by their goalie, Elia.) It was exciting and awesome and Liesl was thrilled to get an actual medal and trophy.
