Christie and I ran the Hop Hop half marathon today in Camas, just over the border in Washington. The course was beautiful; we started at a golf course, ran alongside Lacamas Lake, ran up a VERY steep hill around Round Lake, and then retraced our steps. We finished in 2:05, a little slower than some other races because of the steep trails in the middle (we walked). It was mostly on gravel-packed trail except for the Round Lake section, which was rockier. We had good weather; started cool and a little rainy, washing the pollen from the air, and then got sunnier as the race went on. All in all, a great race, and we'll be back!
The promise of these mimosas at the finish line kept us moving through miles 10-13.
