blueberry picking

We went blueberry picking at a sweet little place on Sauvie Island - Anne Jones' Blueberry Farm. We picked 13 lbs of enormous, ripe, sweet, amazing blueberries -- there were enormous bunches of them literally falling off the bushes into our buckets. 

We came home and I made a blueberry pie and blueberry muffins. There are still a whole lot left, so I see more pies, crisps, pancakes, and cakes in our future. 

The first pie was only beautiful until it was cut open, and then it became blueberry soup. So this was take two on the pie front: more thickener, refrigerated overnight. Much better!
