No photos for this blog post, but Sebastian got some orthodontics installed this week, the beginning of a long process to correct an overbite. The first step is the installation of metal hooks on two upper and two lower teeth, with elastics connecting them, and a plastic retainer on the bottom. In six months, after his jaw has been moved, they'll install braces that he'll have for a year or so. So it's a long process, which is hard for a kid, and it's really painful in the beginning (obviously - they're moving his teeth around). He's been in a lot of pain this week and unable to chew anything -- he's only eaten smoothies, oatmeal, smooshed black beans, and applesauce. Today is the first day he was feeling slightly better, in less pain and able to chew a bit. Poor kid.
