Liesl and I have continued our weekly lessons with Tictac and Missy/Sierra. Some weeks are better than others -- some weeks have been very fun, with horses that trot and turn on command, and some weeks have been more challenging, when they are too hot or grouchy to move, and don't listen. But it's been fun to have our adventure together and we have both improved so much and learned a lot about taking care of horses, saddling and bridling them, and riding. Our instructor, Zyla, is taking off for July to horse-pack the Oregon section of the PCT, and then is departing for college. So we will have another few weeks of lessons and then take a break.
It's hard to take photos or videos because we're both usually riding at the same time, but here are some videos from last week of Liesl trotting and cantering on Sierra.
