Sebastian is playing AA baseball this spring with a passel of his school friends. The uniforms are so official - red belts and socks and all - the boys are adorable in them. Seb has been doing really well, with both his hitting and fielding skills noticeably improving every week. And he has become devoted to it - really enthusiastic about baseball. (Soccer, football, baseball, basketball... my boy is singleminded in his devotion to team sports with balls.) The schedule has been a bit of a strain on our family, as there are Tuesday practices, Wednesday games, and Saturday games, for a 12-week season. It's hard to be out so many days a week, and it has definitely impacted our family dinners, Sebastian's willingness to practice piano, and everyone's afternoon free time. Fortunately, one of Sebastian's friends on the team has a little sister, Diya, and so Liesl has a playmate for most game days.
