We celebrated Seb's 16th birthday this week -- 16!! We had a birthday breakfast of baked oatmeal, and then he spent the afternoon hanging out with a friend while Liesl had a soccer game.
Liesl drew a McLaren car that we saw in London for Seb's card.
For dinner, we went to Ringside Steakhouse, a classic old Portland institution, and had so much food. So much. It was delicious and celebratory and special.
The renovation of his room continues, with new furniture and posters and shelves and rug and a tv -- there's been a lot of assembling and disassembling. Final photos still to come, but here he is at Ikea this morning.
About a week late, for various reasons, I finally made his birthday cake request: strawberry shortcake.
