It started off as kind of a quiet day - we had to unpack from camping and kids were tired/happy to be back on their screens - but we had a lovely late afternoon and evening together. For dinner, we enjoyed steak, pretzel rolls, corn on the cob, watermelon-tomato-feta salad, chips and guacamole, and a gorgeous flag cake. Liesl and I made the cake, and then Steve and Liesl decorated it -- our usual tradition! And then we went over to the field for family Olympics: downball, basketball around-the-world shooting contest, a tennis match, soccer shootout, catching a football, throwing a football at a thrown pizza box (hilarious).
