Boulder Ridge hike

Anja and I met up this morning at the Wildwood Recreation Site, a BLM-owned property close to Mt. Hood, to tackle the Boulder Ridge hike up Huckleberry Mountain. It was 11 miles round-trip, pretty much straight up and down. We climbed 3500 feet through a lovely shaded forest, and ended at a rocky point with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. It was a tough hike, really exhausting, in part because it was hot today. But I'm so glad we had a good long day together and got to see Hood in all its glory.

Sweet Jasper at home tonight. He's barely moved since we got home at 3, and he drank bowlfuls of water. Such a good dog.
