We went on Saturday to get our Christmas tree from a local tree farm -- it was a good time, but it took longer than expected. One of our previous favorite places has been closed since 2017 -- too few trees growing during the newly hot summers in Oregon. So we went to Quail Creek Ranch, but it turned out that their trees were either too short or else brown and dry underneath the top layer of branches. We were about to give up and go to a tree seller when we drove by Zurbrugg Farms, and they seemed to have an abundant supply of nice-looking trees. We found a good one and sawed it down (yay Steve!) and then brought it home to decorate. There was hot chocolate (spiked, for some of us), apple pie, Christmas music, and all of our favorite decorations.
