Sebastian had the day off from school (teacher professional development) and so we three had a gorgeous sunny day together. They made a fort in the stairwell; Sebastian played soccer at the field; we did some errands; we hit Blue Star for doughnuts; we joined some friends at the Crystal Springs rhododendron garden. And then Sebastian had a bowling birthday party and I went to a work reception.
We joined Crystal, Mary, Anne, and Michela at the garden - there were ducks and geese, there were rhododendrons in various shades of pink-purple-red-orange, there were trails and trees for hide-and-seek, and there were lakes to throw things into. We had a delightful time.
Sebastian said he didn't want to be in the picture, but then jumped into it from stage right....
