We had tickets for entry to Camp Nou, the FC Barcelona soccer complex, in the morning. They knocked down the former stadium and are building a new one, which is scheduled to be finished in 2027. But we got to watch a lot of interesting historic videos, explore clips through multimedia screens, and see old shoes/tickets/balls and photos. The trophy room was amazing, as well as the wall of historic jerseys. There was a VR experience at the end where you walked through a virtual locker room.
Liesl and I went out to find poke for lunch and then continued on to the Barceloneta beach. The boys went back to the hotel and then Steve joined us a little later on the beach (as our photographer). Sadly, Seb and Steve were supposed to be at the Formula 1 qualifying race today, but the seller (through StubHub) never came through -- never uploaded the tickets. Steve spent hours trying to figure it out, constantly being reassured by StubHub that it would be fine, and then the tickets didn't arrive and there were none left to buy. Seb was so disappointed and sad and Steve was frustrated and angry with the whole situation. Such a huge bummer.
Steve found this neat little simulation driving place near the beach, where Seb could drive the F1 racetrack here in Barcelona. We also have tickets to the actual race tomorrow, so crossing fingers that will work out.
