On Saturday, Sebastian's back had healed enough for him to return to the water, so we were finally ready to try out the rest of Atlantis' waterslide rides - some with tubes, some just straight drops. We ate breakfast and headed to the first spot. There are four slides coming out of the Mayan Temple - one tube ride through a shark tank, one ridiculous drop straight down (none of us did that one), the challenger slide where two people race each other, and a smaller, kid slide. We had to wait in a longish line for the tube shark slide, but not for the other two, and we had a really good time trying all of them out.

Next up, the challenger slide, racing to see who gets to the bottom first. Liesl loved this one.
We took a break from rides to go play in the Mayan temple pool - it was just our family for this morning, and we played catch, diving into the water, and Steve pretended to be a shark, attacking the rest of us, and we had underwater races. It was lovely to be able to play with Seb in the water again.
And then we made our way back to find the family playing in the Coral pool, where we again played full-family tag and keep-away and had a great time.
Steve went up to the room to grab a bite to eat, and we found him like this 2 hours later. Shoes on! He sat down for a second and fell asleep. :)
We didn't have family dinner plans on this night, so our family decided to explore the aquarium under the Royal hotel and then go back for a second round of waterslides before eating a buffet dinner at Mosaic.
I don't have any photos of the other waterslide structure, the Drop Tower, because I left my electronics behind while we played. But there were once again 4 slides coming out of the tower: the Abyss, which was a terrifying straight shot down into darkness and then a deep pool; and three tube slides of varying length and steepness. We had such a fun time going on the slides and loved it - we went on a few rides on Saturday night and then returned on Sunday to re-visit our favorites, that time with Trish, Jeff, Hana, and Jake. Sebastian was initially terrified but then loved the steepest drop one, laughing with glee as we went back up to do it again. It was a really happy last day of the trip. We did the river ride and slides for most of the day and then met up with family at the Colonnades pool until we had to (reluctantly) drag ourselves back for showers and dinner.
Dinner was at an Italian place, Carmine's. The portion sizes were huge at pretty much every restaurant all week, but Carmine's took it to a whole new level.
And then it was time to say goodbye to everyone -- we were leaving early Monday morning and still had to pack nearly everything up. So we got the kids into bed and asleep and then packed in the semi-darkness, struggling to figure out how to transport a week's worth of dirty laundry and still-wet swim clothes.
Liesl was sad to leave. She's standing outside Hana's hotel door here, on the way to the elevators, hoping for another hug.
