Mirror Lake

On Wednesday we met up with our friends Mary and Rowan and headed out to the Mt. Hood national forest to hike up to Mirror Lake. It's about 1.5 miles to the lake, which is warm and shallow enough for splashing and wading, and perfectly reflects the snow-capped loveliness of the mountain. We had last hiked this trail in August 2012, before we moved to Portland, in company with my parents. Seb and Liesl made the 3-mile round trip easily and Liesl loved splashing in the lake.
