We went to the doctor on Wednesday for the children's annual checkups. Both are perfectly fine and healthy, especially Sebastian, who (knock on wood) has yet to experience any medical problems at all.
Sebastian weighed in at 42 lbs and 44 3/4 inches tall. Liesl was 31 lbs and 37 1/4 inches tall.
It would have been entirely uneventful, perhaps even happy, but for the shots at the end. L needed boosters for MMR, chicken pox, Hep A, and the flu vaccine; Seb needed Hep A and the flu. It was pretty terrible. Liesl cried so hard after the second shot that she threw up all over me and the nurse. She looked truly incredulous that we were giving her a third shot and kept saying "no mama, please no!". Seb started to cry in sympathy and fear and so I had to wrestle with him in order to get his shot in. Ugh. I'm so glad we're done with vaccinations for a few years now.
