Liesl's soccer team played in the Beaverton Cup soccer tournament this past weekend -- four games in the 95 degree heat, very challenging conditions. L hadn't played soccer in a month and was a little nervous about returning to the game. But as it turned out, no worries were needed! She played really well, making solid passes, shutting down all the offense on the left half of the field, taking numerous throw-ins, and sprinting up and down the pitch. And her team tied the first game 1-1 before winning the next three 5-0, 4-0, and 3-0, and winning the whole tournament. It was so fun to watch; the girls had so much fun together.
