Sunday was beautiful, and we took full advantage of the sunny weather. We visited mom and dad's garden plot, picking zucchini, broad beans, beets, carrots, broccoli, and kale. Then we wandered over to Crescent Beach and picked our visit rocks, built rock people, skipped rocks, and had a tasty fish lunch. Carl left in the afternoon; Liesl, mom, and I went to the playground and for a walk around the duck ponds. It was nice to just hang out together for the day and talk. We left first thing Monday morning - back to Bellingham to the Amtrak south to Portland, arriving home at 4. We're both a little tired, but I'm so happy we got to visit (and party).
