riding the train north!

Mom/Popo was turning 75 and let it be known that she wanted a birthday party with all her friends. "A party!" said Liesl. "Can we go?!"

Why yes! Of course! We rode the Amtrak train north on Friday afternoon. It was a great ride together - we read books, told stories, drew pictures, played iPad games, ran up and down the platform during the Seattle break, and otherwise had a grand ride. Dad picked us up in Bellingham at 9:30 and took us to Surrey just over the border.
