The golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you... treat others as you would like to be treated. Today, Sebastian pointed out that it really should be "Treat others as they like to be treated, not as you would like to be treated, because people are different. I think that it's funny to have water poured on my head, but not everyone would like it." So true, so true.
Liesl asked, "what does sarcasm mean?" Sebastian responds, "It's like when mommy says, "that's my favorite thing ever, thank you", and you know she's actually angry.
Sebastian, at the school field: "Grownups are always on their phones."
In the car, listening to a song on the radio: "You don't have to try try try try, you don't have to try so hard." Sebastian: "What is this person talking about? If you don't try, you'll never get anywhere or do anything!"
If you could have one wish, what would it be? Sebastian: "To have everything Nike has ever made, ever." Liesl: "To see a unicorn."
Sebastian: "Poor Daddy has to stay home by himself - it must be lonely."
Me: "It's okay. He has work to do."
Liesl: "He's not lonely, he has his computer. And it has movies on it that he can watch anytime! You know, he doesn't always do his work; sometimes he just watches movies."
