We have a week left of school - my seniors presented their Honors theses last week and will have commencement on Thursday; Sebastian's last day is Thursday; Liesl will have a preschool graduation ceremony on Friday. Summer can't come soon enough! We are tired of our spring schedule and ready for a slower pace, with fewer obligations.

Seb and Liesl stayed up late last night, playing four-square out on the street with their neighborhood friends - Oscar, Nadine, Stella, and little Graham, joining the pack.

Today was really busy from morning into early afternoon - both parents went for early runs, we picked up eggs, assorted berries, cherries, and gorgeous veggies at the PSU farmers market, Sebastian had a dress rehearsal for his piano recital next weekend, and then a baseball game at 12 noon in the 94 degree heat. We came home at 2 and collapsed into our air-conditioned house. Liesl and Steve ate some food and took a nap together; Sebastian and I played a game of chess. After everyone had recovered their equilibrium and cheer, we turned on the outdoor sprinkler and joy ensued. I made some extra-fancy rice krispie treats (with almond butter and chocolate and coconut, yum!) and we went out for dinner.
