I went to the local nursery on Saturday and bought flowers and plants for our stoop and balcony. They look sweet for now; let's hope I can keep them alive. It was fun to get my hands dirty and dig a little, anyway.
Liesl and Arianna got into the action as well. I tasked them with cutting down the blackberry bushes that were invading our back steps. I gave them gloves and very sharp mini shears, and they had a grand time.
The cherry and dogwood and magnolia and apple trees have bloomed, and our daily walks are beautiful.
Molasses ginger cookies, yum.
