Twin Lakes mama snowshoe

I escaped Portland for one last snowshoe hike of the season, a 5 mile trek from Frog Lake snow park to the Twin Lakes, in the Mt Hood forest. My partners in adventure were Amy and Brynne, mom friends of FPE school friends, neither of whom had ever been snowshoeing before. We had a gorgeous day, with warm temperatures and sunny skies. We didn't have fresh powder but the snow was quite deep and the lakes frozen solid, and the day was magical. I loved seeing the snow piles on top of trees.
