Flatiron Rock trail
On Monday afternoon, after lunch and a change of clothes, we headed east of Bend toward the Oregon Badlands. The Flatiron Rock trail is known for its very old juniper trees, abundant lichen, and lava rocks; it was quite the contrast with our morning snow adventure. But the kids were game and we enjoyed the flat trail, stumps, rocks, snow patches, and crazy trees.
