Fall activities begin...

Sebastian had his first soccer game of the season last Saturday - the Eagles played two 4x4 games and won handily.

Liesl's preschool had an open house on Wednesday morning - you could go and hang out with your child and the teachers for an hour, and explore the space/reconnect. Liesl was shy and clingy, so we stuck together, but it was good to see her teachers and meet some of the new children. We created an art-piece and wrote a description of it.

We found a second-hand digital piano on Craigslist for Sebastian's piano lessons. Steve drove over to St. Johns to pick it up after the kids were in bed, and we set it up in Sebastian's room while he was sleeping. So he woke up to the delight of a new piano! He's been playing with it and experimenting a little - first class is next Thursday. It's so wonderful to occasionally hear the sounds of music (well, piano sounds, anyway) drifting up from the basement. It makes our home feel more homey.

Liesl had her first gymnastics class of the fall on Thursday afternoon. She has moved up to join an older group of girls  - the Kallistos. She did amazingly well, really focusing and paying attention to the coaches and trying her best to accomplish all the moves.
