strawberry picking

We visited Columbia Farms on Sauvie Island for the first berry picking adventure of the year. We picked about 10 lbs of strawberries - and now I'm dreaming of strawberry shortcake, and strawberry biscuits, and French yogurt cake with strawberries, and strawberry ice cream... Yum.  I can't wait for blueberry season, and raspberries, marionberries and blackberries, and more strawberries...

 

So far I've made strawberry baked oatmeal, strawberry biscuits with macerated strawberries and mascarpone, and strawberry cake. :)  I think strawberry ice cream is next. Or maybe strawberry bread.
