signs of an early spring

Magnolia and cherry trees blooming, daffodils and crocuses popping up everywhere, and the first trilliums of the season in Forest Park:

We had Anne and Camille over for pancakes and applesauce on Friday morning, and then went on one of our favorite Forest Park hikes - Firelane 7 to the Ridge trail, north/west on the Wildwood, and back up on the Hardesty trail. It was a lovely and sunny morning to be out with friends.

The afternoon was too nice to be inside, so Liesl and I set up on the driveway and painted and colored together.
