adventures around town

On Wednesday it rained, but we went to the Oregon Zoo anyway. We saw lions and cheetahs, mandrills and monkeys, polar bears and otters and sea lions, giraffes and gazelles, and one little chameleon... I only managed to take a few pictures in the rain, and they're all bad photos. :)

On Friday we went to OMSI - they have a new special exhibit on dinosaurs, which was just fantastic, as well as the usual array of fun activities. The dinosaur exhibit included enormous sculptures of dinosaur replicas, complete with fur and feathers, moving parts, and sound effects. Liesl and Roxy were genuinely nervous, asking me to confirm that they were in fact just pretend.
