We celebrated mom/Popo's 81st birthday on the weekend, with waffles and fruit for breakfast, chocolate cake, a Parsons Dance Company performance, visiting the Japanese Garden, Salt and Straw ice cream, pizza and sushi, family photos... phew. It was so fun.
We introduced mom to the Rings of Power series, and she's been binging the whole thing during their visit. She finished all 7 episodes through some very focused attention. :)Nothing like a little grandson torture... treatment of sore muscles... as a special birthday treat.
We went to the Newmark on Saturday night to see the Parsons Dance Company performance -- six short dances, all to very different music, and with very different themes. It was fantastic. Amazing, athletic, gorgeous dancers, and a great selection of choreography.
Sunday morning we visited the Japanese Garden, which is beautiful in this continuing late-summer season.
