art and curriculum night

Thursday evening was the school's annual art and curriculum night, where parents get to visit classrooms and see all of our offspring's art, projects, writing samples, etc., and then listen to singing performances. It's always fun to be inside and see everything, and we had a lovely evening. But first, there was a ballet class (from 4-5) and a baseball game (from 6-7). I tried to convince Liesl to skip the baseball game, but she was distraught at the thought of missing one, so we went for the first half. Good thing: she had two solid hits, and got to play catcher (she was thrilled).

These are the Kinder, 1st, and 2nd-graders singing a selection of songs, led by our energetic and awesome music teacher, Dr. Bob.

And then the 3rd, 4th, and 5th-graders sang. Sebastian and his friends mostly stood there and pretended to sing/engaged in mosh pit activities. (Interestingly, Sebastian loves music class, and loves to sing - he just isn't into the public display of it.)

And then the kids ran around with their friends and played, and it got chilly, so they got a little snug.
