We arrived at mom and dad Raab's place in Estero, Florida on Sunday, and have had an wonderful vacation here -- so relaxing to play and have fun in the sunshine. It's been so good to reconnect with them after the two-year separation of Covid, and to spend time together in their country club community. Seb and Liesl have been cozy here, watching tv together and hanging out.
Watching three screens simultaneously... (insert eyeroll from me.)
Note the pellet gun sticking out of the lefthand side of the photo... a Liesl on the attack.

Mom and Dad rented bikes for all of us, which was a brilliant idea, as we've really enjoyed tootling around the 3.5 mile loop of the Wildcat Run country club.
Mom and Dad signed Liesl up for two lessons with the club's tennis pro, John, who turned out to be really funny and encouraging, and also willing to give all of us a lesson at the same time. I learned that I'd been holding the racquet incorrectly for my backhand all these years. (!!!) So we had some lessons, played a short game (hitting the ball only in the service boxes), and rallied for an hour as a family.
There are two bocce ball courts (lanes? tracks?) outside the clubhouse, and that's been fun too.
Steve, with the granny style. Ridiculous and embarrassing, but super effective.
There's a small pool in their community, and we spent a fun couple of hours swimming and playing in the water.
It took Sebastian a few minutes and some coercion/persuasion to get into the water.
Biking, swimming, tennis, bocce -- plus some delicious dinners together at home and at the clubhouse/grill -- as well as shopping at the outlets for Seb and a mani/pedi for Liesl -- a classic and relaxing Florida vacation. It's been very good for all of us.
