Happy 4th birthday!

Our boy turned four on 11/11/11. The coolest birthday ever. On Thursday, we brought cupcakes to his pre-K room and he got to celebrate his birthday with his school friends. His best friend Nathan gave him the Cars 2 movie. (After we let him watch it, he asked to watch it again, promising that he'd give us all of his money if we'd just let him watch a tiny part...)

On Friday morning, he opened up a couple of presents from us - the Poppleton series of books, and a couple of new tshirts.

He also opened up his present from Popo and Grandpa - a cool map puzzle of the United States.

And then it was off to the Dinosaur museum - American Museum of Natural History in NYC. I took the day off work so we could hang out.  We saw the dinosaurs and then the hall of African animals. The elephant was his favorite. I took this picture at 11:11 am. After the museum, we rode in a taxi to meet up with Daddy for lunch, then took the subway back to our car. All in all, a perfect birthday day for a small boy.

In the evening Seb got to open more presents, including this Steelers hat and jersey from Steve. I'm not sure who was happier about this particular present.

And finally, of course, there was dessert. Four little desserts, with a candle in each (cream puff, pumpkin muffin, strawberry parfait, and chocolate pudding). We didn't let him eat all of that, of course. The three of us shared.
