I took Sebastian to the doctor on Tuesday for his four-year old checkup with Dr. Jane. He weighed 35 lbs and was 41 inches tall, which are at the 50th and 75th percentile. He did a great job this time - he answered when the doctor asked him questions, didn't cry or fuss when the nurse was measuring him, and managed to participate in the eye and hearing tests. Dr. Jane asked him his favorite food: pasta. Anything else? chicken and pumpkin pasta. Any vegetables? carrots. Favorite fruit? blueberries. And favorite thing to do in school? build things. It's always fun to hear your child tell someone else things you didn't know about them.
Seb has tagged along on Liesl's doctor's appointments this past year,
but this was his first visit since his 3-year old checkup. Sadly, it all
ended on a sour note, as he had to have a number of shots - booster
shots, plus flu. He was very bitter about the shots.
Steve has been teaching Sebastian how to play checkers. We don't seem to have a board or pieces, so he made one with markers and Legos.
